Your Princess Has Been Invited; What's Next?

by on Wednesday, September 6, 2017

You’ve made the best birthday decision—you’re inviting a fairytale princess to celebrate with your little girl! It will certainly be a spectacular day, one that your child and her friends will remember for years to come. We will take care of everything on our end, so there is less on your plate for the big day. Here are a few helpful hints for things to prepare for a truly magical event!

Your Princess Has Been Invited; What's Next?

Fill Out Your Questionnaire

Completing your questionnaire is an extremely important step toward making sure your princess party turns out to be as magical as your little girl deserves! We will email it to you shortly after you reserve your party date and you can begin working on it as soon as you’d like. It will be full of questions that will help us prepare your party, like which princess you’d like to have at your party, what time your party will begin, and where it will be held. This will also help you organize your details! As soon as you finish it, we’ll get to work for you!

Plan Your Invitations

Your invitations are one of the most important things to prepare! Your guests will need to know all of the details in order to arrive at your party ready to celebrate. Make sure to include the most pertinent details, like date, time, address, and RSVP information. You can make your invitations as glitzy and glittery as you’d like, or you can keep things simple and just present the necessities. It’s always a fun idea to incorporate elements of your princess visitor into the invitations to give your guests a hint of the magic to come. Every princess has her signature colors that will look beautiful on your invitations!

Decide on Decorations

Just imagine how excited your little girl will be to walk into a party space that has been decorated to the nines, just for her! A beautiful environment for your event will go a long way toward giving your little royals an immersive and unforgettable experience. Your princess visitor’s fairytale will serve up plenty of inspiration for your decor. A Snow White party calls for vases of shiny red apples, mirrors on the walls, and red and yellow streamers and balloons. Using your princess as inspiration for the party decor is an excellent choice, one that will yield adorable photos!

Design Your Cake

Your little girl will be delighted to end her special birthday party with a delicious and beautiful princess party cake! If you want to have a professional baker create the cake for you, make sure to get the plans to the bakery with plenty of time before the big day. If you’re making the cake yourself, give yourself enough time to get the cake just right. You can do something elaborate that the kids will be in awe of, like a cake shaped like a turreted castle, or you can do something more simple, like a decorated sheet cake, that will still taste amazing.

Gather Party Favors

Handing out party favors is a wonderful way for your little girl to show her appreciation for the friends who came to celebrate on her special day. The favors don’t need to be anything fancy or expensive, and there are plenty of ideas out there that will be perfect for your child’s group of friends. Some people choose to hand out favors that match the princess party theme, like wands, crowns, princess books, or costume jewelry, and some choose to stick with classics like candy, stickers, or small toys. It’s always a thoughtful touch to include a short, handwritten note of thanks with each favor, or have your child hand them out personally and thank her friends for coming.

Remind Your Guests About the Princess

A princess party promises to be a good time for everyone invited, but it’s wise to let your guests know about the princess ahead of time so that everyone is prepared to have a good time. Some children, especially younger ones, might have a more difficult time taking to and feeling comfortable with the princess, so it’s a good idea to let the parents prepare them ahead of the party.
